September 3rd, 2010
TELUS World of Science is helpng Calgary move up to the art scene big leagues. Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition, which will open a five-month stay at the TELUS World of Science in February 2011, was named alongside the Baroque World of Fernando Botero show at the Glenbow Museum and the Chinese Terra-cotta Army that will march into the Glenbow next summer as a key part of “Calgary’s new coming-of-age chapter in the city’s history.”
Colin Jackson, former president and CEO of the Epcor Centre and a passionate fan of the local arts scene, told The Calgary Herald that “We’ve now become an NHL town in (terms of) arts and culture. We’re now in the same national category as Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver.”
Now that’s good company. Wait until they see the new building!
